At Chaitra, we aim to make your jewelry shopping experience seamless and satisfactory. This Shipping and Return Policy outlines our processes for delivering your orders and handling returns, exchanges, or refunds. By purchasing from www.chaitra.co (“Website”), you agree to the terms herein, which supplement our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Shipping Policy

a. Shipping Coverage

• We currently offer shipping across India only. International shipping is not available at this time.

b. Shipping Charges

• We provide free shipping on all orders, regardless of value. No additional shipping fees will be charged at checkout.

c. Delivery Timelines

• Due to our use of specialized delivery partners for precious items,
• Custom jewelry orders may take up to 6 weeks for Delivery.
• Readymade jewelry orders are delivered within 2 weeks.
• Timelines exclude weekends, public holidays, and unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters).

d. Shipping Process

• Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email or SMS with tracking details.
• Risk of loss and title pass to you upon handover to the shipping partner.

2. Return Policy

a. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

• We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all readymade jewelry purchases, starting from the delivery date, provided the item meets our return conditions.
• Conditions: Products must be unused, in original condition, with original packaging, tags, and certificates (if provided). Custom or personalized items are non-returnable unless defective.

b. Lifetime Exchange & Buy-Back Policy

• We offer a Lifetime Exchange & Buy-Back option on all Chaitra purchases within India, subject to the following:
• Exchange Value: Calculated based on the current market value of the metal and stones at the time of return, minus a 15% deduction for making charges and INR 1,000 for shipping/handling.
• Conditions: Original certificate (if issued) must accompany the product. Missing certificates incur a deduction of INR 5,000 per certificate.
• Non-Eligible Items: Custom or personalized items and products not purchased directly from www.chaitra.co are not eligible.

c. Return Process

• Step 1: Initiate a return within 30 days (for money-back) or anytime (for Lifetime Exchange/Buy-Back) by contacting us at shine@chaitra.co or +91-9019921267, or via your account’s order history (if applicable).
• Step 2: Package the item securely in its original packing material with all certificates.
• Step 3: Hand over the item to the pickup person arranged by us. For items valued INR 35,000 or above, use the tamper-proof packet we provide, seal it, and hand it over during pickup.
• Shipping Cost: Return shipping is charged at a flat rate of INR 1,000 for both 30-day returns and Lifetime Exchange/Buy-Back, payable by the customer.

d. Refund Process

• Refunds for 30-day returns are credited within 2 weeks after we receive and inspect the item, credited to your original payment method or as store credit (at your discretion).
• Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of credit. Lifetime Buy-Back amounts are credited as store credit after valuation approval within 2 weeks. You have 2 days to approve the valuation (subject to live gold rates); non-approval within this period results in auto-credited store credit. Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of credit.
• Shipping charges (INR 1,000) are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (e.g., defective item).

e. Defective or Incorrect Items

• If you receive a defective or incorrect item, notify us within 5 days of delivery. We’ll arrange a return at no shipping cost to you and provide a replacement or full refund, subject to inspection.

3. Additional Terms

• We reserve the right to reject returns or adjust exchange/buy-back values based on quality inspection.
• For orders with discounts or free gifts, the refund/exchange amount will exclude the discount/gift value unless the gift is returned.
• All disputes are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
